The uniforms and CCTV bodycams seems to make them think they're Judge Dredd.

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

Pity they need all that clobber, but I guess lots of people don't want to co-operate with them, do they?

Chelmsford, famous for being both Toms home and the setting for the truly awful "comedy" Chelmsford 123 featuring Rory McGrath at the start of his career decline.

I've no idea where he gets his news but it is very rarely over any of it.

It’s not progress tom it sounds more like communism to me. Design a crap system that doesn’t work, then pay people to spy on everyone .

I had a similar system in Bulgaria for the buses where one and three passengers were secret spies checking everyone’s tickets against the drivers written records. My guess is someone in the Labour Party went on holiday to sunny beach in the 1980s & stole the idea from there

Birmingham

Birmingham has had rpo's for years.

It's quite fun watching fare dodgers varying tactics when the bus pulls over for an rpo check.

Two recent ones were one trying to leg it off the bus when he saw the high viz jackets only to find the doors blocked by this absolute beast of a guy, smiling as he asked to see their ticket.

And one desperately trying to argue his 3 week old ticket was valid...

I think the busses by me have the smash window emergency exits, not doors, or I'm sure they'd use them lol

FYI you could inspect my ticket any day!
