"Hi! I’m conscious of this being a bit of a sensitive and unsuitable topic, but I am genuinely curious; are there any ND or C/PTSD folks in here? How do you navigate your sexuality through these things? I ask because I’m exploring my own issues and to be honest I’m beginning to wonder if my sexual appetites might be a trauma response rather than a sincere preference. Anyone else wondered about this?" Having done a lot of body work and trauma release training in the last 3 years, yes, sex can be a beautiful was to process, complete and release old trauma patterning from your system. The trauma patterning in your system was a response to a time your body needed protection from something, and so it's not something thats necessarily 'wrong', rather a defense mechanism that you may be ready to thank for saving you, and now it's time to release it as you no longer need it. If you can trust the process and give yourself permission to enjoy it you'll find your sexuality will grow and evolve into ever higher levels of awareness and pleasure. So enjoy the sex! And be willing to evolve | |||
