"I use the TrainHeroic app and track all working sets. It's quite good and has a huge range of exercises and it's very easy to make your own bespoke ones. I like data so I'm happy logging numbers Mr" That is good you like tracking data and logging it too | |||

"Have always tracked in past by using a notebook but these days use the phone app RepCount, I track every work set, the weight used and reps achieved so can know I’m aiming to beat next week " That is good you have always tracked everything too | |||

A few reasons mate Always found for myself progressive overload works better than anything for muscle growth so tracking weight/sets/reps Important for ensuring progress I perform far better on a set if I have a target rep number to beat will achieve more reps vs not having a target It makes training more fun always trying to progress and beat last weeks markers, getting bigger and stronger is like stretching a rubber band the scone you let off the tension it starts to slip back to its original state | |||

"I admire all of you tracking each set and rep. I do track and monitor, but less formally and religiously and try to listen to what my body is saying before I push it too hard. I find life throws variables at me that interfere, diet, hydration, sleep, stress, injury. I’m always training whilst managing my way through these. What are each of you training for that are tracking so closely? A competition? A PB? I’m interested to know." I largely do it to keep close track of my progress and seem to perform better by doing it. | |||
