We were given a rose plant on our wedding a million years ago. I have let it go to seed but it still pops out over the 12 foot Jasmine that lines our garden. A little pop of red, every now and then. Very beautiful.

Whilst this is true growing flowers is invaluable to those communities. In Kenya I lived near rose greenhouses. Beautiful plus they cost pennies so I always had them in the house

I'm definitely conflicted with environmental impact though when exported

Despise.

For a few flowers, that's sad, especially if the sentiment is from a good place.

Most just shrugged and said don't really despise anyone.
