Do you ever open a thread out of curiosity of the title and be like... NOPE that's enough Internet for today

Is there threads you actively avoid, whether that's because you don't like the subject or because you feel like your going to start falling out with folk with your opinion towards it?

And on the other hand is there threads you actively enjoy participating in more than others, whether that's non sexual related stuff, sex talk or games?

Politics

Racism. Especially when the faux ally brigade comes wading in.

Ones to do with kinks because I don't have the energy.

Threads where the usual suspects clash over paragraphs and paragraphs of quoted text that they've not yet discovered how to edit/there's so much rage to type they don't have time to delete.

I like thinky ones. Sexy ones as long as it's not by the "mmmm I'm wanking as I type this" sort of OP. Some silly ones. Easy ones.

I'm not going to be too much of a dick. I stay out of those that I'm not compatible with. It doesn't mean I don't think they have their place. It's great that different people are posting and there's a wealth of different styles of thread.

I stopped opening the forums for a while, never mind the threads... 1st day back on them and I've already seen a few things that reminded me why I stopped! There's way more wtf, I'm not going there threads than ones I want to join in with.

I'd have to be in with folk before I could fall out with them.

I like to discuss all kinds of things, I was discussing the history of the Spanish political system, with someone I just met at a BBQ last night over ribs and Rioja. Also Thrush, fireman's hoses and cake surfaced as topics.

Out of interest I hate racism so will sometimes post on those. Is this welcome from a white person or is it better not to say anything?

I quite like the horn dogs ones, always males me smile a little.

The influx of "be kind" ones just bore me.

And I don't like the ones discussing the serious matters of the world. I get it's an open forum you can talk about anything. But it's an open forum on a sex site, when you have penis/tit avatars trying to show off whose the most intelligent on such matters it all just feels a little ...crass.

I miss the fun threads with the fun people

Honestly? Post what you like, what matters to you. You're not going to please everyone so you might as well please yourself.

There are an inordinate amount of hackneyed topics that I stay clear of, in addition to avoiding the architects of those topics, who thrive by ejaculating their banality and smegma all over the fora every other hour on the hour.

Other than that I'm fine with most threads. If I need variety and diversity I tend to pop my head into the Welsh, Irish and Scottish forums.

There are many many threads I don't even open and of those I do open I might only comment in one or two.

Of the 35 threads on page one in the Lounge it shows that I have opened 6.

I think this is just the second one I have posted on today.

I often decide not to open one because of who the op is and I already know exactly where the thread is going.

Sometimes I'll open one and let it run for 100+ comments, many of which are just people echoing what everyone else is saying while at the same time ignoring the blatantly obvious fact that the emperor doesn't actually have new clothes.

If it's a topic I have personal experience of I sometimes feel the need to enlighten those who read about it in a book or on social media, therefore it must of course be true.

Apart from that I don't give much thought to what threads I choose to comment on.

Some are just light hearted and I'll jump in and out if and when I feel like it.

The threads that always end up a popularity contest

Ask a question to the person above etc,

9/10 people ignore people they're less fond of and ask someone 2-5 posters above instead.

That can be because by the time they've typed their question/comment others have got a response in.

I don't tend to not bother with the ones that you have to say "I'm in".
