Addictions exist of all types.

I am not addicted to sex. I love sex. I enjoy good sex. It doesn’t have me by the tits nor does my life revolve around sex.

I'm fairly sure I'm addicted to sex.

The way my moods are dependent on it worries me at times. Just as well I have a husband who not only loves sex but loves having a wife to share with others lol

Usually it’s something to do with poor impulse control

I am. It’s invasive and burdensome. It distracts and preoccupies me. Brief periods after sex allow to deal with life so I can back to thinking about and wanting to have sex. Abstaining starts a accumulation of frustration, desire and obsession. Masturbating does little for me.

I've seen the consequences of sex addiction. It's not always what the person is addicted to which is unhealthy but what they lack they are trying to replace and how they go about it. In this person's case it was porn addiction which lead to them losing their job (watching on company computer on company time), house and very very close to their family as well.

They recommended reading a book called the Porn Trap as it shows how porn affects the brain and development, I read it as a cautionary tale to help moderate my own use as I know I can have impulse control issues at times

I love sex, I love giving but it can not be 24/7

Control is needed which it makes it all the more special when it happens - but never take away spontaneity…

I think people can and are addicted to sex, I also think there's people that say they are to excuse poor behaviour.

There's a huge difference between enjoying something a lot and addiction - addiction affects everyday life.

I like sex, no I'm not addicted.
