To a degree yes, see your point. We've also found a lot of people note things on their profile that they're in to/looking for, yet when it's suggested it's suddenly "no we don't do that". Erm, you say different in your profile....?

I talk to a fair few people, I don't necessarily want to meet them all.

If I make excuses, it's my polite way of saying I don't want to meet you.
