Reports that the Mayor of Agde, famous as the French swinging part of France has been caught with his fingers in the till. Unlike their sophisticated English Mayor counterparts who wear regal chains of office, a French mayor is more likely to wear a tricolour sash similar in design to a Miss World contest. The Mayor met a fortune teller who held a séance and put the Mayor in touch with his dead father. The Mayor allegedly lavished gifts and holidays on the fortune teller out of public funds. Reports say that the fortune teller would speak in a French accent like his father and she used ventriloquist skills too.
