Do you expect people to be quiet or is it a day for noisy DIY, lawn mowing and barbecues with loud music?

I'm on the beach the only thing than mildly annoys me is the dogs barking and not on leads, so peeing on peoples belongings as they walk down the beach

It's not warm enough for the beach here.

Mr N has his shirt peed on by a dog at the beach once. Luckily he wasn't wearing it

I work, I’d rather people didn’t want to leave the house so I didn’t have to open the shop

I think there's definitely something to be said for a day where nearly everyone can take a holiday

I've no idea because I've never had a bank holiday off.

It's just a normal day so whatever normal people do on normal days.

Yes it is a surprise we all survived in the olden days shops around here closed at lunchtime saturday and all day sunday and another half day in the week, you might have been able to find a petrol station open and get a bar of chocolate, I do feel sorry for staff who have to go in over xmas and the like, if you are self employed and work bank holidays that is the free choice you have taken.

We try not to go out on bank holidays and leave it for the people who work.

I've never been self employed and I've never worked in retail or hospitality and yet bank holidays have never been part of any job I've had in 40 years so I've never had a choice in the matter.

We had our bag full of stuff peed on by a massive dog in the park a few years ago. The owner never even apologised, just called the dog back to him from a great distance away eventually. Luckily it wasn't food, just a few cardigans and toys, as we were having a picnic. But I did have to carry it around afterwards. Most unpleasant.

It's quiet around here. I think most people have gone away. With three children and a trampoline in the garden we're the noisy ones

who decided to stick a Bank Holiday in the week BEFORE payday!!

new job that seems to down tools over school holidays, so an easy week for me - just getting my head around it as have only been working full time since end of 2022 and worked nearly every Bank Holiday even if it was just to catch up on paperwork.

It's fairly quiet around here. We don't go out because we live by the beach and we like to leave it for people who work and tourists
