St Leonards

Not exactly - a few intense moments, with both strongly positive and sad memories, about 15 or so in number for memories, and an overwhelming sense of unfinished business that I'd want to complete in the next incarnation.

So I would have been ready to die, and accepted it sadly but calmly, accompanied by a strong desire to "complete" things in the next round.

I'm an atheist and materialist (there are explanations for reincarnation within these views) but I think Buddhists call such things "bardos" and argue that if your desire is strong enough to carry an objective into your next life, that objective becomes more easily accessible in that next life than if you didn't have the strong desire uppermost in your mind as you are dying.

Which tallies with my own thoughts on it as part of a much, much wider topic.

Sagittarius A

A stream of memories, moments linked by their emotional content, rather than time, of eye contact with my wife. My life reflected in her eyes.

Like desperately searching through a pile of cards for the one that is lost. Over and over with a distant voice echoing beneath the sound of my racing heartbeat in my head. 'we need your permission'.

Part of me died that day too.

I've been in a few RTA's, two of them quite serious. I didn't get the life flashing experience. There was momentary panic and confusion while my brain computed what was happening, quickly followed by calm resignation and a hope that it wouldn't hurt too much. There wasn't the time or headspace for anything other than the present moment.

You don't necessarily see things ime- you recall memories, hear songs, the weirdest is sense memory, feelings, sensations and weirdly scent memorie are particularly vivid!

couple, us we him her.

Due to a severe head injury about 15 years ago I was dead for a period of time I don't know how long just remember being brought back.

There was nothing, just dark nothing a big empty void of nothing.

It's not like being asleep or being unconscious.

Just nothing......

I had septicaemia a few years ago.

Started to crash as they were wheeling me on a bed from the ward to intensive care.

I can remember seeing the ceiling lights run past me one by one. I wasn't scared, just an overwhelming feeling of acceptance that this was it. I remember thinking of my kids and my husband and kept repeating in my head 'I love you'

After that I lost consciousness and there was nothing - but I was still there if that makes sense but it was just empty

Thank you. I'm good now, mostly. Just the occasional superglue and gaffa tape job required.
