Carlisle usually

Depends who you're winking at.

A single man that rarely gets them, possibly.

A single woman that has 3000 unlooked at already, probably not.

As I've previously mentioned on similar threads it's a pointless action in my opinion; I don't send winks. Indeed I haven't sent one for over three years, other than those which are part of a forum game or a challenge (an equally pointless exercise). I've sat next to women at socials who have shown me their 'wink tally', with the number varying between 350 and 600++ winks from men.

It’s meant to be an easy life breaker but barely ever works like that. I do love getting a wink. But as prey to the fairies as pointed out most single lady our over ran with messages and winks it’s impossible for them to check

Depends what you mean as in work?

As just winking at someone doesn't automatically mean you get a fuck.

Or do you mean do people receive them... Yes.

Haha if only it got me a fuck…I take it from the response most people get loads of winks so a message is better

I don't send winks because they're easier to send than messages. So if women are getting hundreds of messages, I can only imagine how many winks they get. I prefer receiving them to be honest as it shows interest and hopefully means I can get a reply when sending the first message

Winks - huh! Yeah! What are they good for? Absolute...nothing!

Actually I do always look at someone who has winked at me. So maybe they are useful.

Winks make me stressed, I do not know what to do with them. What is the etiquitte? The polite response?

Far better just send a message.

Have a wink off? Whoever stops first loses.

Somewhere

I suspect it was instigated along the lines of FB *pokes*? Nobody liked those either. Although poking someone at least seems to align more with the Fab sentiment than a wink

The etiquette is to assess each one on its merit and viability: if a 22 year old man from The Outer Hebrides winks you then the likelihood of anything progressing is extremely remote. I ignore winks. I find there is more value in an empty promise than a fully loaded wink.

...mind you if I'm feeling uncharacteristically shallow and I receive a wink from the fåirest of måidens in The Shetland Isles then I'll probably want to run the gauntlet and reach her to fulfil my erotic desires.
