So I am sat at a friends birthday meal and have just noticed that there is my 2bests friends and there male partners and a guy she works with and I am thinking this is starting to happen a lot . i go to party's and find my self with a +1 I did not invite . So I guest I am asking why is it my friends think I need one and is it not ok to be single

I used to find it irritating when friends or family would set me up. I have made it REALLY clear that I do not appreciated it, I am not a charity case, I do not need or want 'hooking up' with anyone, and if I ever did again then I would be quite capable to doing it myself. They stopped doing it.

Why don't you ask if it's ok to bring your own +1 then it would be your choice whether you take one or not?
