Actually found out yesterday that I stir anti clockwise. Tried clockwise and it felt weird. Never gave it any thought until yesterday though.

What’s the point of the stir anyway. It doesn’t change the taste.

Seems like waste of time and energy to me.

I can't drink tea/coffee if it's stirred anti/clockwise. If some one makes me a brew and it's stirred AC I'll ask for a spoon and I'll stir it clockwise myself before drinking it. I've been known to leave a brew untouched or used a pen to stir it CW myself. Soz!

Straight forward Coffee clockwise.

If it's the powder cappuccino or latte in a little packet, it gets stirred in all directions, imaginable to mankind. It helps it dissolve better.

Around here

I go clockwise as fast as I can to try and create like a whirlpool. And then quickly change direction and go the other way.

Here's a common discussion at work...

If you are making a round of brews, should it be a criminal offence to stir the tea with the same spoon that you used to stir the coffee?

Covent Garden

If it's white sugar then it's anticlockwise. If it's demerara sugar, clockwise and if it's a brown rough-cut sugar cube then it's in a figure of 8, stirring.
