It’s up to them at the end of the day, you aren’t compelled to send them yours either.

Not in your area

"It’s up to them at the end of the day, you aren’t compelled to send them yours either. "

Precisely this.

And even if they send you one, if you didn't ask them to send you one, you aren't obliged to return the favour.

Simply put.

They wanna see if they fancy you before deciding whether to continue the conversation.

"It’s up to them at the end of the day, you aren’t compelled to send them yours either. "

While what you say is true, it comes across has entitlement. I had a message from a a guy say "why do you hide your face on pics".

The guy had no public or friends only pics. When I replied "at least I have some pics, why don't you have any at all". His reply " am shy".

It’s a buyers market.

Lots of women are inundated with messages and it's a good an easy filter op, to see if there's attraction.

Just pass them by if it's not for you.

Exactly this. You can set your pic to delete once your message is read too

I don't see anything wrong with that approach. Does it irk you, OP?

Politeness says that is your don't ask for something you're not prepared to give.

Also I was brought up that it was not polite to demand things you should ask or enquire NOT demand.

I know some people prefer to stay anonymous due to the nature of the site

A face pic via private message is totally different to expecting them to have one on a public profile.

If you don't want to send it then you aren't compatible - simple.

I want to see one early on, I don't want to waste time chatting away to say no sorry your not for me when I finally see them.

I don't mind to be honest. If they are going to run for the hills, then it's better that it's early on.

Carlisle usually

Asking for a privately sent face picture is not equal to asking for a publicly visible face.

Well in all fairness….

Not everybody wants to advertise to everyone who they are.

Some people get spotted from fab out and about or on other platforms and get approached outside of fab.

If I’m talking to somebody who demands a face pic but won’t send me one, that would be an issue.

But somebody hiding their face from the whole site but wanting you to send them a personal one I think is fair.

As long as they send you one in return if they are interested in talking further.

"As in - no face pic = no reply or = block

I'm sure they do have a face.

Why would they send one to someone they're not interested in?

They haven't forced you to send one. You chose to.

What does my head in is people giving it the ‘ald billy big balls. Messaging saying all the things they want to do to you.

Then when you ask them for a face photo they suddenly they sh*t themselves.

Don’t jump in my inbox talking like gods gift if you don’t have the confidence to back it up.

People can ask for whatever they want. You get to choose how you respond.

I used to have pictures on my profile. Sadly I took them down as found others were using them in their profiles. I still manage to meet up without a picture but fully understand this is an issue for some. Should all respect what others like to do or not.

It is a request not a demand that you must message them.

If it bothers you, just don't message the profile. No reason to get upset by it

I'll be honest, when I used to ask for a face pic, 9 times out of 10 I'll forget I haven't got one on my public pics and completely forgot to send one!

"As in - no face pic = no reply or = block

Are you comparing sending a private face pic to having a public face pic on ones profile?

"It’s up to them at the end of the day, you aren’t compelled to send them yours either. "

Surely this is the logical answer?
