Grilled cheese.

Bit of a misnomer as there is no grilling involved. But…how do you have yours? I like a nice thick slice of bread, something along the lines of Warburtons super toastie. A good sharp cheddar, and spread the bread with garlic mayo instead of butter. Glorious!

On a toasted crumpet, whack it under the grill, then sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce.

How do you not grill yours op? Are you talking toasty maker?

Isn't a grilled cheese more of a toasted sandwich?

My favourite is the Boxing Day Leftovers I make annually. Roast turkey, pan fry the roast potatoes so they're extra cripsy, pigs in blankets using up whatever cheese is in (normally Gloucester, Taleggio, Raclette and Gruyere). Shredded sprouts. A pot of dipping gravy. So good.

Either a cast iron skillet or a griddle plate.

The way the Americans make it.. grilling is a misnomer. I prefer a more traditional 'cheese on toast' style snack. Although I add hot chilli flakes into the cheese before it is grilled which releases the oils into the cheese. I'm comfortable with Trinidad Scorpion and have tried Caroline Reaper a couple of times. Amazing.

I am a bit of an oddball, because I don’t grill my cheese sandwiches, I whack them in a pan and fry them in butter
