I have a beard. I’m toying with a goatee. Trimmed the sides much lower but can’t commit to going bald on the cheeks

I had a nightmare last night that I accidentally went clean shaven and kid you not I woke up clutching my face. So weird seeing this thread because I messaged a friend about that dream earlier

Trying a beard for the first time,I tried a long beard but went short and got it trimmed at the barber last night

Sort of long front faded up the sides

I’m also getting the vibe ladies my way hate beards

"I just can't make my mind up"

My shaven state varies week in week out. I would always meet clean shaven though, unless requested otherwise.

It's annoying as I was messaged once saying I hadn't read a couples profile which specified a clean shaven preference (and the photo I supplied supposedly had stubble - they must have had a microscope to inspect the picture)

Heavy stubble beard. I trim mine once a week using 3mm setting. See profile pic.

Shave, leave it grow for 3 or 4 days...rinse and repeat. Probably look better clean shaven though.

I'm exactly the same. 3-5 settings. Clean shaven I don't like and heavier beards make me look a bit scruffy.

Seems to me with your lack of dedication to commit to one or the other a soul patch would suit this kind of attitude.

I only respect men without beards if they can’t grow one.

Look after the beard, greatly reduced itch/zero itch.

Wash it every other day (sometimes daily - it varies from peron to person and lifestyle).

Condition a few times a week.

Beard oil twice a day.

Comb/brush multiple times a day

I washed it daily, but it still itched. I was never sure if beard oil was worth it or not

It's 100% worth it, one of the main reasons for the itch is the hairs steal the oils from your skin (thieving bastards) but there is not enough produced, so your skin gets dry and the hair gets brittle. Beard oil covers that, and there are some amazing smelling ones out there.

Ah, that's interesting. May be time for winter growth this year
