We go to peurto del carmen in a few weeks and wandered if anyone knows of any nudist beaches around that part of the island

Plenty of nudist beaches on the island - if you are hiring a car there's a few popular ones at papagayo - which is also a nice place to visit,

To be fair there is a liberal attitude on the island & I've seen nude sunbathing on most beaches - no one bats an eyelid if you tuck yourself away at the end of a beach.

Good to know. I have booked Lanzarote for my 60th birthday so being naked on a beach sounds good to me although knowing my luck it will pour with rain that day.

just about every beach is nudist but some are more private than others papagayo for example up near Timanfaya park or Charco de Palo a nudist village, you'd need a car to get to them mind

We were thinking more about families being around, and obviously not wsnting to do anything to upset folk

If families are on a nudist beach then they can't complain if they see naked people.

The best nudist place on Lanzarote is the nudist village of Charco Del Palo. The whole village is dedicated to naturists. For those who haven't been before, it is on the coast in the north east of the island. Sadly, no buses go there (Mala is the nearest bus stop), but a taxi from Costa Teguise is about 25 Euros, which isn't bad if there are two of you sharing. It is easily accessible from all over the island if you are thinking of hiring a car. Definitely worth the trip when holiday on Lanzarote

If you’re hiring a car in the Canaries use Auto Reisen, I’ve used them about 7 times and find them excellent
