Somewhere In The Ether…

Ey up again my fine folks

In my most righteous, ongoing quest to prove that I am unequivocally the most boring bugger on the site, I pose unto thyselves the following utterly banal question:

How do you dry your clothes after washing them?

Do you hang them on a washing line?

Possibly do you drape them over radiators, bannisters, random chairs etc or maybe even your head?

Alternatively, do you tumble dry them?

Please do reveal all….because I’m not only really boring; I’m additionally really nosey to

Shirts and t-shirts - I have a handy pole over the entrance stairwell to hang them on.

Pants and socks - radiator, unless it's a particularly big wash.

In which case, couple of handy clothes(')-horses.

No space for a tumble here, but when I have had space for a tumble (and dishwasher) I don't really like them much.

I think I must like the feel of warm, wet things on my fingers too much ...

A drying rack. Outside if it's dry, inside with a dehumidifier in the winter. The tumble dryer broke years ago and I never bothered to replace it.

I really hate soft towels from the tumble dryer, anyway. They need to be hard, scratchy, and flay your skin with each use.

No tumble dryer here, so in winter / wet weather it goes on an airer over the bath or hung up on hangers for anything that needs ironing on a frame in the bathroom (I have a separate en suite so can happily dedicate the bathroom as a laundry room). In good weather, everything goes on the rotary line in the garden.

I put most over an airer.

Towels and bathrobes go in the tumble drier.

Nothing gets dried outdoors, mostly because I loathe the smell of them afterwards (but also because I'm in a flat in a high rise).

My tumble dryer broke last week so I've been doing my washing and then driving it to my mum's to peg out in her garden, I'll do this throughout the summer and the money I saved in electricity can pay for a new tumble dryer

I put them in wet then go out and hug strangers.

It’s not popular.

If it’s dry outside. They go on the line every time, even if I have to dodge showers.

Second to that is draping them over every possible place I can find indoors.

A tumble drier is far too flash for my meagre budget.

I'm certain "pegging out in mama's garden" is code for something.

Pervert!
