I don't let my choices impact who I meet. There may be a few caveats. If I meet a smoker, I ask they don't have a cigarette before meeting me as the tobacco lingers

I'm not vegan or vegetarian but I'm lactose intolerant so have to opt for plant based alternatives at times.

It wouldn't make any difference to me if someone was vegan or vegetarian by choice.

I'm vegan. It's a personal choice that I don't expect others to make, and I would and do meet non-veggie people.

Doesn’t matter to me,we should all eat at least 15 types of vegetables for gut health. I try to eat as much as I can and it does help with weight loss too.

Bookmarking this because I'm looking for Vegan-friendly Afternoon Tea possibilities. Not everyone caters for this.

I'm not actually vegan, but I am lactose intolerant and rarely bother with meat, so I eat a vegan diet 95% of the time.

One of my partners is veggie, his main partner is entirely vegan, I usually make a conscious note not to eat animal products when I'm planning on seeing him. Although, if he'd ever asked for that, I'd probably have told him to shove it.

I'm not vegan or vegetarian but whether a potential meet or partner is isn't relevant to me, as long as they respect my choice to eat meat.

Accidentally bought some plant based cheese slices a few weeks ago. Didn't notice until I tried eating it. What foul stuff. I dunno how people put up with such shitty food

No it wouldn't.

It wouldn't make a difference in the real world either on my decision to associate with someone.

(Some other political viewpoints might though.)

I dated another vegan, years ago.

- Turned into a Mexican soap opera from hell, that relationship.

In the end I concluded being vegan was the only we had in common.

Vegan cheese used to be absolutely vile but it's improved over the last few years. Violife's pretty good, and Marks and Spencer's own brand is pretty good - and that's the opinion of a non-vegan friend of mine who tried them when I went to visit.

Fake cheese is the fucking worst heresy out there. Especially violife.

Applewood do a decent enough version to use on a pizza. But it just makes me miss proper cheese even more.

How about Lactose free cheese? That's proper cheese.

Cheeseville, Somerset

My partners vegan.

We ordered pizza Friday night. They had a vegan option, I had double pepperoni. No drama.

Someone's food choices don't define compatibility.

I like goat and sheep cheeses. But they don't work on pizza at all.

Unless it’s a kind of meat meet I’m not sure it would matter too much

Pizzas can be nice without any cheese, (vegan or normal) I have found.

After eating a woodfired vegan pizza ages ago at cafe, I've tried making them from scratch. I think it's getting the doe base right thats sometimes tricky.

I'm not into stuff like that so it's never come up. But leather alternatives are easy to find for most things so I assume you could find non-leather gloves and floggers online somewhere.

My DD, a meat eater, tries to eat vegan or vegetarian when he sees me - i have never asked him to, he just decided he wanted to do that

He has bought vegan cuffs /floggers and we've had the odd moment of laughter when he is trying to creatively replace something leather

I recently got a collar and was concerned beforehand as most of the nicer ones are leather, but we found a vegan one that we both love (there was actually lots of choices!)

I try not to sweat it too much, but i probably would decline a meal with someone wanting to eat before a meet... Just my preference. If they've bought wine /snacks for the evening i would have hoped they'd check they were vegan when buying them.
