Plastic in your balls

Tests have revealed microplastics in all of the testicles of deceased men, who died before 2016. It was also found, to a lesser extent, in dogs.

Polyethylene was the most common plastic, followed by PVC.

This follows the discovery of plastics in the uteruses of women, found recently too

It's shocking to think this stuff potentially gets almost everywhere inside of us, isn't it?

(Small sample size - 33 human testicles sampled)

Flyaways is the only acceptable description for those balls I’m not having people refer to them as air floaters..

Is this recent ? I’m surprised so many people still regularly use products containing microbeads there’s been good awareness for over 5 years & so many alternatives now.

I often wonder how much of the damage is actually caused by the marketing of drinking ridiculous amounts of water from plastic bottles

Did you know you can buy plastic bollocks for dogs to have implanted after castration, to reduce stress levels and give them something to lick.

Think they're called 'mutts nuts'.

The balls were removed from the men in 2016. I should have added that they were all in the USA. I'm guessing that we're probably similarly impacted, with microplastics found from the top of Everest, down to the deepest parts of oceans.

I did wonder the same but I've not done the same level of due diligence that EssexTom can always be expected to have done

They’ve found plastics deep in the Artic Icecaps I remember reading few years back so at this point it’s here to stay sadly.. even when we’ve made biodegradable materials that are similar to plastics womp

Water in bottles is kinda handy when the local water supply is infected with cryptosporidium from cow shit.

(I use a reusable metal bottle for my water before anyone gets cross with me!)
