Duck! My favourite meat!

I aim to get one tomorrow, and start marinating it with Chinese 5-spice mixed with honey and soya sauce. It should be very tasty by 25 Dec!

.

I am sure Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall did a X birds roast started with a peacock or swan!

Peacock used to be a regular feature on the high table in the old days, based on the history on food programmes I have watched

it will have been peacock, its still illegal to kill or eat a swan in the UK, with the exception of royalty within a royal park,

as hugh isnt hugh (hrh) its probably peacock

We got a Kelly Bronze on order from a local turkey farm which I have to go and collect on Wednesday. Accompanying that is a ham coated in molasses and I'm also cooking a nice joint of silverside top quality beef. I'd have lamb too but our table ain't big enough.

We are all hungry, that's why!

Don't mind a proper spit-roasted pig with lovely crunchy cracklings! A bit cold to do it outdoors at the mo though
