"I quite like it. Every official royal portrait in the history of the long as been deeply symbolic. This one's no different but I'm not entirely sure what the symbolism means" Yes, you are right there, all those portraits have been deeply symbolic, same here. I dont know what it means, it would be interesting to know what the symbols means too

I suppose that people will place their own interpretation on it I find it interesting that he's square on to the viewer, no slight side angle just straightforward, direct gaze

"Eight fucking million? Time to put that cunt on the guillotine." I hope is not the red picture that is going to be sent to buildings. I still can't find out who paid for the Red Picture I suspect it was the king,

"Have you seen it and what do you think of it? It kind of gives mixed messages I think. On one side it is cool, but on the other side which I agree with others who have critised it, is that, it looks kinda satanic doesnt it with all the red, like we are entering a new age of world order. When you look at it, you dont really see what it is, to me it seems like the background is more important than the subject of it. I find it a bit strange, dont you? " What do you mean by a new age of world order?

"Does anyone remember Ghostbusters 2? " I’m fairly sure Charles isn’t a Carpathian. Much less a sorcerer…. Although it would be quite cool.

"I think from an historical perspective this might not go down as one of the most popular royal portraits " Without doubt Charles the firsts portraits' by van Dyke steals the show for me with different views from one side of the head to the other when I first saw those paintings I was captivated by them, nothing was to much for Van dyke and all the great painters like him... Just sorry that cromwell had the last word.
