Give the French Stick

Tom is a big fan of the French and the French Stick or Baguette as it is known on the streets of Calais. Traditionaly the baguette is made of bread and is long and thin. The French have produced a postage stamp in honour of the baguette, which many consider to be their national dish. The stamp is a 'scratch and sniff' and when the Frenchman receives his letter then he can scratch the stamp and smell fresh bread. If England did something similar then what would you like to smell?

It's all over the news

Mrs Wick is always on about how much she loves French stick, yet I’ve never seen her bring any bread home. I wonder if im mishearing what’s she’s saying.

Tom, it's a very high bar, but that might be one of the best things you've ever said

I too don't want to engage with the rest of Tom's threads, because this one thing is just so beautiful.

I'll be marvelling at it all day now.

It deserves its very own Louvre.

I think I want to marry it .

Toms threads are like stationary blue lights on the opposite side of the motorway carriageway. You know you should not look but when you reach them you just can't resist..

East of Eden, West of Hell

I'd be very happy with a scratch and sniff stamp which smelt of baguette.

Although I'd probably try and lick it. Does the glue taste of baguette, of just the minging stamp adhesive they use?

I'd not trust getting something into your stomach, when you've already had it inside of your lungs . The letter may have gone anywhere, before it gets into your hands. And heaven knows who touched it.

Someone mentioned scratch and sniff fish and chips but I'd be fine just with the fragrance of chips with vinegar on them
