I worked in Cambs and hated the water

I worked in Leics and the water was also pretty poor

Back up north-west way and the water is lovely.

I am in the most northern part of merseyside that gets Welsh water. Next village up it is Lake District water. And yes you can tell the difference in the taste, but both are good

The water from the Elan Valley in Wales is used by Severn Trent customers in Birmingham. I wouldn't have thought water gets much purer than that.

They are fully aware. It’s a light-hearted answer, pointing out that parts of England is reliant on those countries for water.

St Albans/ Welsh Borders

Thanks Busman, now I'm hyperfocusing on England's water supplies

Funnily enough I live a few mile from Lake Vyrnwy which supplies Liverpool but my Water doesn't come from there, that comes from Shropshire somewhere

If I am on a long walk such as the Lairig Ghru or "Jock's Road", I just top up my water bottle from a fast flowing burn.

North West

Greater Manchester! But not the bit we're in. They switched us off Thirlmere and onto some borehole stuff and it's full of minerals

The stuff that comes from Thirlmere is *chef's kiss*

Always on the move

North West. Or any other soft water area.

Anywhere hard water ruins kettles, washing machines, and leaves a weird film/scum in a cuppa. And that includes London
