Watching the Tom Brady one.....wow

I've seen the Alec Baldwin , Justin B, Rob Lowe ones

I don't know how they sit there!

What ones have you seen?

Canvey Island

Roast of Bruce Forsyth & Sharon Osbourne.

The Forsyth roast was especially brutal, but had so many naturally funny people in it.

Camberley occasionally doncaster

I've seen snippets of a few, though all have been American and I don't vibe with the humour. I just don't get it.

Watched the Tom Brady one last week...was brutal.

In the back of that watched a old Charlie Sheen one...was decent, but not as brutal as the Tom Brady one.

Agree, this one's brutal. I'm at the end now, I did see he went to Kevin Hart to say cut that shit out

The roast of Bruce Willis was pretty scathing. They even brought on Cybil Shepherd, someone who utterly despised him, but you could tell that the jokes were probably screened beforehand, as this was only about 3 years before his medical problems came to light, and they didn't want to really upset him.

William Shatner's roast famously had longtime mortal enemy George (Sulu) Takei barking the words: "F*** you, and the horse you rode in on" to the keen equestrian. Not a shred of irony or humour to his words, by the way!

The original point of roasts was friends and family were the ones to make the jokes, as affectionate ribbing was all part of it. They're now usually just a collection of mediocre hip "comedians" vying to make the most obnoxious and/or outrageous jokes, often unrelated to the guest. The Bruce Willis one had lots of the above.

Dean Martin's roasts are superb, and show how it should be done. Discretion is advised when watching the one about Sammy Davis Jr, for obvious reasons.

I thought Jeff Ross on the Charlie Sheen Roast came out with some brutal ones.

"If you are winning, then this must not be a child custody hearing"

"Don't you want to live long enough to see their first 12 steps?"

Newcastle and Gateshead

I was going to say if you are looking for a few of the old Comedy Central roasts… start with Williams shatner, flavour flav, rob lowe (famous for a certain famous British comedian absolutely tearing apart a right wing media commentator) and David hasselhoff

Most of them are really good…

The Tom Brady one last week for me went too long
