We all have food in common, so it’s a given we all can cook.

But what do you reckon you can cook as good as anybody else? If not better.

Because I’m about to cook, Welsh rarebit, and I reckon if you’re a fan of that dish, and you took a bite of my new would have an orgasm.

So please tell everybody and make us hungry to have you in our kitchens

I wouldn’t say I could cook it better than anyone as my cooking is useless but the nicest thing I can make is sirloin steak and rice (cheating and using a rice cooker though)

Absolutely nothing. I'm not a great cook and I reckon someone would always be able to cook better than me

I'm not sure I can cook anything better than anyone else. If no one is in bed with food poisoning the next day then I consider it a result

I couldn't profess to being a good cook

I do know what tastes nice (to me) though

I like simplicity of ingredients

I hate things covered in sauces or gravy

For lunch today, I had sirloin steak with tomato & red onion salad

Steak

Beef Tomatoes

Red Onion

Fresh Basil

Olive oil

Sea salt

Black Pepper

Italian seasoning

Simple as that

Easy to prepare

Pretty good for you

Tastes good

That's how food should be

Plymouth and Newcastle (sometimes)

I (LB) spent the first 5 years of my working life as a chef so I'm confident I can cook quite well and make everything from scratch. I bulk cook sauces and some dishes so we've always got a freezer full of ready meals for when we want something quick when neither of us can be arsed to stand in the kitchen.

I’m a competent cook - we both are.

I love trying new recipes out and always cook from scratch.

My breakfast dish which sounds basic but I can cook perfectly every time now is a combination of goats cheese, avocado, spinach and rocket and poached eggs, with sweet chilli jam on toasted sourdough bread.

Our FWB’s have enjoyed this dish when they’ve stayed over and just adds to their overall orgasmic experience

Roast dinners

Jambalaya

Neither of which have any technicality to them so I'll refrain from being at all smug. Am competent at cooking, but definitely not more than that!

I adore cooking but hate cooking for myself so I’ve not done any in quite a while.

My slow cooked lamb using star anise and all the trimmings always goes down a treat.

Oh that's a high bar you set there.

I'm no chef, but I've learnt a few things from people who know a lot more.

I like cooking for people I care about, it feels good to look after them and bring them some joy.

Probably something made in a slow cooker - does that count?

At least you can do other stuff whilst it’s cooking

I can't cook for shit Woody.

But, apparently, the way I hold a plum tomato betwixt finger and thumb, then bite during eye contact (with a human...not the tomato. They hate eye contact) has been known to induce klunge Niagara.

Honest .

"I actually do a decent welsh rarebit as well... Fight ..."

Haha. Do you use the whole egg or just the yolk?

Normally my favourite dishes come from someone else, but this one is all mine. Nobody introduced me to it, I saw it in a menu and wanted to try to make it.

somewhere

I don't really have a dish that someone says "can you make that again", I am definitely a "ooh let's stick some peanut butter into this sausage dish, with some honey" (actually thinking about it, my middle son did ask for it again once and I had no idea of the quantities I used), I'm definitely an experimental cook.

Herts/Beds/Lomdon

To me it’s all about 2 essential elements. First I’m checking I have the finest ingredients, I’m careful that they’re complimentary in flavours and depth, taking my inspiration from Asian fusion foods in particular. And the right tools too. Making the right incisions, in the right place can make a huge difference.

Only then when all is ready do I open the microwave.
