Why do so many people write them like erotic novels?

Why are they dramatised so much?

How would you feel if someone left you a verification that was fairly bland but to the point

E.g

"I met [Person] and they are real"

Those are the kind of verifications I like. The person who left me a verification left a very pleasant one. She's a real sweetie.

We prefer that type. A basic 'these people look like their photos and turned up' will do for us.

Very very crap, cheap erotic stories. I don't know why OP. It makes them happy, doesn't affect me really.

One of my favourites says Meli is a woman - says everything anyone needs to ever know.

I view them as tools to help to filter people who are more likely to be reliable. I want to know if they are realistic and meet reliably.

I'm happy to get the same confirmed about me

That's all I need to be honest.

The filthier the veris the more stupid messages I get.

Loads of my veris in the past and the present are actually compliments to my personality, which I love because I look for compatibility at that level.

I usually verify without making any comments about the sexual encounter at all. "He is nice, genuine, clean, good chat too" kind of thing.

More than enough lol

They are an opportunity to have a bit of fun for us.

Some people take themselves so seriously here, why is it a problem that some enjoy writing down their erotic experiences?

I really don’t understand why people feel the need to ridicule others for their actions in what’s supposed to be a very accepting environment.

"Why do so many people write them like erotic novels? Why are they dramatised so much?"

If people have had an enjoyable meet or a social then it's often lovely to see verifications that are pleasing to read, and which give me an indication of how interesting, sexy and convivial they are. If their experience was hedonistic then an 'erotic novella' would be quite apt.

Don't forget — this is Fab; drama is everywhere. Dramatised verifications are often prone to hyperbole. I still find them enjoyable in my own perverse way.

"How would you feel if someone left you a verification that was fairly bland but to the point?"

I tell all my meets that, if they wish to leave a verification, then they need to send a draft for me to proof read, in case they've unwittingly written something I'm not comfortable with (e.g. stated my real name etc). A bland verification would be unlikely because I rarely meet bland people.

I leave quirky and unconventional verifications for people, but they are accurate and realistic nevertheless.

Your verifications are actually charming. You should do a thread on the forum based on people's profile and what would you leave as a verification.

Admirable, OP. However Woody wants to see the ones of you being a champion lover and not the ones of you spinning the decks and giving people a symphonic mind-melding hippy trip.

I tend to leave them pretty bland

A veri, to me, is proof that someone is real, I met them and lived to tell the tale

Everything else is both incidental and private

I have been verified by 1 person 4 times .. they keep deleting their account and then joining back up. It's been about a year since we last met up. But according to my verifications it was Friday!

We should be allowed to accept the verification!

This is why most of mine are hidden!

We don’t have any verifications yet but I think I’d like one that is quirky and unconventional

When reading them on other people’s profiles, I like to see that they are real, polite and have a nice personality. Everything else is down to personal taste but it’s interesting to see how different people approach writing them.

It’s part of the experience

How someone writes & what they say, build up a picture. It rounds out characters.

I don’t publish the more sexually explicit ones.. because the crazy fuckers come knocking. But I love my veris. They say I’m honest, what I portray & that I meet likeminded souls.

Veris are what veris are.

I've always felt it says as much about the person writing it as it does the receiver.

Some want acknowledgement that their sexual prowess surpasses all others, or that their dick spurts champagne, or that they're hotter than the sun or that (obvs) you should treat them with respect, not pass them by, keep your hands off because they're all someone else's or that (after the 13th consecutive veri) every time just gets better and better.

Trying to work out why some people leave the veris they do is like trying to herd cats.

Make your own evaluation based on what you read. You'll either like what you see, won't, or will be largely indifferent.

They are, at rhe end of the day, just one person's view of another.

Not yours.

I think there’s a risk of damming with feint praise. A veri reading, “this is a man, we met him” would put me off as I’d find it telling that the verifier couldn’t find something nice to say about them.

We have had a few shockers turn up (stealthing, getting rough, etc) and both closed down their profiles soon after, so we didn't have the chance to leave honest feedback. Not that they would have willingly posted it, of course.

Good experiences should be praised, and always with a dose of humour. A VWE regular of ours prompted us to put the following:

"Met up with this lovely guy again for some adult fun! What he can do with his 9" weapon stretches more than just the imagination!! He's everything we want in a play-partner: honest, discrete, clean, respectful and hung like a Fleischwurst sausage!!"

Not exactly porno prose, but strikes a reasonable balance.
