I've seen far too many unpleasant sights today, and that was just catching my reflection in the mirror.

My hair is twice the size.

I'm too warm to eat, like wtf!

The ice in my iced coffee melted far too rapidly.

I'm tired and want to sleep and it's like the middle of the frigging day outside.

People standing so close to me I can see their sweat...

Wake me up in October please.

Yay. Returning to the UK tomorrow so this is music to my ears. I was so over jeans, scarves and thick jumpers when I left. May leave the boots out for occasional wear tho

Hi Miss Coyote

Lovely to read you and this thread (which feels a tad premature but I'm not one to shame anyone).

Quick heads up, you're probably going to hate me until September. Thought I'd give you an advanced notice for that voodoo doll.

Simple solution.

Do what I've done today.

Not looked in a mirror once, put on one item of clothing and spent the entire day prone on the sofa.

Could leave the flat at some point but I doubt it.

Solitude, isolation and tunes.

Definitely the least 'peopley' day I've had in a while.

The sooner she goes the better, one 'bum loss' for the UNLOS.

Which means more rum for me, more log fires, more crisp cool breezes and the kicking of dry rustling winter leaves.

It was bloomin' warm in the Arena last night but it was pretty nice to whizz back through the city centre, to the car in the cooler air at 23:00. I liked not getting piss wet through due to the rain and ending up sat in wet undies and on a wet wheelchair seat cushion. I've WFH from the garden x2 this week and that's been absolutely divine too.

Oh I love it!

I’ve been in a sundress outside doing my notes in the park after my appointments. I got an ice cream and met a puppy.

If a strangers moist T-shirt touched my arm I’d have burnt the park to the ground though. That’s hideous

Aww sorry to hear about how today been for OP in the heat. Sounds it was pretty gruelling for you. I can’t stand be surrounded by people when it’s hot and stuffy either, it’s not pleasant. The heat makes feeling tired even worse to be fair so I can imagine it wasn’t great for you. Somebody needs to invent the Jacuzzi suit that Milhouses mom gets when he becomes a movie star in one of the Simpsons episodes so everyone can stall cool at work etc x
