hahaha debz , i did think that when i saw the huge cucumber i have in at the moment ....well not literally in, just in the house , but if i get more bored....

my lads did dig out to the pavement, not far just very steep and they've buggered off to the football via the bus ...i cant balance well on dry pavements so i'm staying put while its so frozen out there. Its very twinkly in the sun and at least i've got power unlike my friend in norfolk and the poor buggers that got stuck in the tunnel last night !

we need a thaw but as the forecast is more snow and sub zero temps for sunday then i think i might be in a day or so more ... not the end of the world tho i might develop RSI and the boys might have to start eating cat food

Mind you, cat food is made to the same standard as food for human consumption, may not taste as good, however, it won't kill you!

... fortunately i was only teasing as the snow was predicted so i did what most folk round here did and stocked up for a few days . and if they can reach the bus stop to get to football they can reach the pub and kebab shop too - think i'd rather have the cat food tho

I have to smile at the stuck bit. Its more to do with preparation. I guess most councils are economising and its understandable on tight budgets, but a couple of extra ploughs and a few 100 tons of salt and things would get moving again pretty quick.

I was a boy scout so I have my snow tyres and a set of chains so never got stuck for any length of time yet. I do have a big digging spade though if you need it
