For Jam making I use both fruits, 85% of what I make uses Strawberries with Raspberries accounting for 15%.

With regard to baking cakes and pastries it is about 50 / 50, Always use Strawberries in Victoria Sponges though.

Given a choice between the two I'd always pick the Strawberry since much prefer eating them in their natural state and in ice creams, cheesecakes, Gateau's, etc.

My second choice would be the Raspberry for its high fibre content and sweet tart flavour in jams.
