When you start a forum thread and it’s doing okay and getting quite a few replies, and then someone else starts another thread with “on the back of xyz’s thread”… …are you happy to be of assistance in inspiring that persons thoughts, or do you secretly rage at how dare they steal your thunder and how dare they make your thread slip off the bottom of the page while everyone reply’s to theirs instead?

Are you a giver or a taker from this ‘ere forum place?

Or do you just not give a monkeys either way?

Or do you just fancy sending me boobs, bums and pretty things to me instead of answering the question?

Ta X

I dont attach when i post a thread. I post because the thought interested me. Sometimes it interests others sometimes it fades into obscurity. I think chasing popularity is pointless.

I don't mind when my threads are acknowledged.

It was when a more prolific fabber regularly started exactly the same thread on the same topic shortly after I started one that used to annoy me.

Not that they couldn't be original but that they needed the validation so badly.

Obviously everyone posted on theirs while telling them how funny and amazing they were.

I heard you the other day, and I thought "Oh, he used one of my catchphrases".

I don't mind influencing a young comedian - you're not a comedian - but I usually credit someone if I use their comedy.

I think this can be a thing, yes! Popularity can be intoxicating. I think it’s pretty obvious when it happens and most good folks of fab would bump the original as a gentle “oi”

If a woman does this its the natural progression for the guys thread to die but if a guy does it it generally dies anyway

I don't mind really. Sometimes it's actually good to have a different take on a subject, sometimes it's not my OP that's inspired it but a post in the thread. I like conversations, like when the forums are filled with different threads.

There are a few times when I'm one second of meh about it. When it becomes many, many threads that are spin offs because people are trying to outdo each with how "witty" they are in playing with the OP. Clue - they're not.

I don't like it when a friend starts a thread and someone more well known does the exact same one shortly after. It's petty and childish.

I'm more a giver than a taker around these 'ere parts.

As for the third, no thanks, my boobs are great not in your box.

When I do a spin off thread following on from this one begging desperately for boobs in my box then we’ll all know who to blame!
