How many times have you been disappointed when someone eventually sends you a face picture?

I’m no oil painting myself, and I’ve had a fair number of people stop talking or block me after seeing my face.

Yes it’s nice to see body pics, but you can build a picture up of someone in your mind, then be disappointed when you see that face pic, the attraction ends there and then.

I can’t exactly ask someone to fuck me with a paper bag over their head, nor would I take too kindly if it was asked of myself!

Just wondering if this is a common occurrence in the Fab world?

It happens all the time. It’s to be expected really. A site where people don’t often have face pics on display, so all you have to go on is their body.

It’s good to get the face pics out the way quite early on to avoid the disappointment of not being attracted to each other.

Yet people can be so cagey about face pictures!

Fair enough there are people here who would be in trouble if they were found out - but that’s a risk that has to be taken!

It’s mostly because people unknowingly make up the persona in their mind and when the face finally arrives, it’s usually a disappointment (not always though).

I mostly meet people at fab socials now, if you click you click and can skip all the online messaging bs.

I like to see a face pic, to confirm the person is genuine, and makes it easier to recognise them for a social meet.

Some people I’ve met aren’t great at taking selfies, so I don’t take too much stall over whatever pic they send me, as people can be much different face to face, when you’re chatting? And of course, hopefully you will both be smiling, which is attractive in itself, as it means you’re both enjoying each other’s company, so the meet is going well……

If that's all of their attempt at conversation I'd think they don't really care what your face looks like, or that you'd care to fuck them anyway.

In my experience so far, I have been met with a lot of reluctance when it comes to sharing a face picture.

It may be due to my geographical location, but if we are meeting, we’ll see faces anyway!

Chatted to someone who was reluctant to share a face picture, but it then transpired to be someone I had previously blocked on their other profile…

I definitely need to be attracted to a guy's face, so I ask for a pic upfront, then chat if I find them desirable for me personally.

I'd find it so awkward to be exchanging messages with someone and not know what they look like, or later getting a pic and having to cut the chance of meeting and tell them. I just avoid that possibility. It's a big advantage/privilege of being a woman on here to be able to do that though

I can't have sex with anyone who I don't find physically attractive in some way or another and that includes face. I've had many long conversations and then they've sent a face pic and my mind has instantly shut down as there's no superficial attraction. I adore kissing and I can't kiss someone who isn't physically attractive to me. Unfortunately I'd say my body is better than my face. Not sloth from the goonies, but I'm no Brad pitt either.

Although I will say, I've not been disappointed when seeing face pics, you can be attracted to someone but when meeting them it just doesn't work, then there are some people you just click with.

It works both ways.

You can be attracted to someone bodily but not facially.

You can be attracted to someone facially but not bodily.

The face is the most important aspect though as it houses the brain and expresses personality and gives off so many signals.

This kind of question makes it plain why full facial pics and body pics and even a quick meet before sex can be the difference between horror or bliss.

People are complete. They are body and face not one or the other.

Surprised? Definitely. I've found some people to be more attractive than I thought, others less so. I think on Fab we pay far more attention to bodies (for obvious reason) and sometimes that's really good and the face less so. It happens.

I'd say the majority of the time I'm not attracted to someone unless I feel like there's some level of friendship there. After that it's about the whole package.

We are what we are and the way I look at it is I’m here for sex etc not a relationship. No original thoughts, but yes, there are people whose body I have thought was hot, but didn't find facially attractive (and vice versa, though you're right we nearly always see bits of bodies first here).

From my experience people with pretty faces usually send them early on You know if they’re holding out then the body is probs their key selling point or the face won’t be exceptional. People aren’t dumb, it’s usually the part that’s missing that’ll be the let down, but everyone has best and worst bits, right? I always lead my messages with a cock pic!

at a club / sauna venue I am not really that bothered by someones face as such , as its just sex and pretty much I am looking at body/specific parts and that more or less carries the fuck for me and then move on ...

I always think the one thing Fab is short of is sweeping generalisations.

I care a lot about faces, but might be the exception that proves your rule.
