I have deliberately tried hard over many years to desensitise myself to what people wear, their makeup, their jewellery, their hair style, everything really.

I'd be useless in an identity parade, I know.

But I could tell you everything about meeting them. The words they said, the cadence of the words, the inflection, the intensity. The way they sat. Their posture. Their "micro" habits.

I find those aspects fascinating.

Attire and appearance...transitory. Like a train passing through a station at high speed. Blink and it's gone. A fast blur.

But the rush from the train ? The forces it made as it went. Their impact ? That's what I notice.

It's rare for me to be immediately physically drawn to someone without first getting to know at least a little about them.

But some people have outstanding things about them. Piercing eyes, musicians fingers, just something about the way they hold themselves, a nice mouth, it could be anything really.

Now, Vogue material is highly debatable

Most 'great' models, are not attractive. Certainly not in the conventional sense. What they are is photogenic, interesting aesthetically, and have a 'thing', whatever that is that's popular at that point in time. But no, most are not beautiful.
