MissR can chat for days about anything with just about anyone. Not in an annoying way! She loves to listen and learn about new things too

MrR is a bit more laid back and can be picky about what he speaks about and to who. He's a bit more anxious and shy around new people.

No. I love talking to people, learning them but I couldn't talk about absolutely anything nor for a long period of time.

My close friends I'm happily waffling away with for hours but then we might not talk for a good few days/weeks.

Here's the thing a lot of people fail to realise. Conversation is a transaction. One gives, one takes and gives bank and so on so forth.

If all the information is flowing one way, it's hard work to keep interest high. It should be about give and take, peppered with freely proffered detailed that the other person can pick up and run with. Blandly answering a question without adding to the development of a conversation, gets stale very fast.

And a "hi how are you?" every day does not a Conversation make.

Those who matter to me I can chat to about nothing in particular for ages. Yesterday I spoke to the Mr for 50 mins about nothing really. Then a short time later I rang him up again to talk about something that I actually needed to chat to him about!
