Cheers you up when you feel like crap and wondering why the hell you still bother?

Music is good for the soul and helps to lift your spirits..either that or putting the world to rights with a good friend over a tub of Ben and Jerry's..what helps you?

Haha I've just Googled "Hang in there..." Before I could continue, "cat" came up and they are so cute! I'll have to get one...!

Comfort food is one thing but I've found exercise to be energising - endorphins I think. It's not instant like a sugar rush, but constantly exercising (I run four miles on weekday mornings), I just feel much more together than if I didn't.

Good morning OP, lots of things lift me up. Goofing about with my little one always works (giggles are infectious), but also time spent reading, or taking photographs, or being outside in the fresh air away from screens and computers, cafes, cake, yoga, kisses… there are 100 different things that help lift me up each day. How about you? Is there one thing in particular that always works? Xx

Smiles , they lift me. Just random people who may walk past and say good morning (I’m from Birmingham, it was always normal to do)

I really enjoy driving along in my motorhome, looking at the lovely countryside and ignoring the idiots behind who want to rush everywhere .

No, in reality I pull over when it's safe to do so. But exploring a new area and some peace & quiet and a change of scenery always lifts my mood.

It depends on if I'm sad or if another has triggered those feelings.

Sometimes it'll be going to the gym. Sometimes it's sex because not thinking for a little bit gives me that space to be and to breathe. Other times I'll go for a long walk and listen to an appropriate playlist.

Or sometimes I'll sit with those feelings and watch Criminal Minds and eat grapes and tell myself tomorrow is a new day but today I can goblin.

Obviously, but sometimes it is not that we require, something else to get us going again. Music, food or meeting up with friends. Sometimes even the smallest of things, like a complement from someone is enough.

Humour. Trying to find something funny to laugh about, even in bad situations really helps you get through life. Laughter is life's best tonic.

Music also helps, but on a good dance, or sing a long song/feel good tune, and dance/sing your heart out.

"Cheers you up when you feel like crap and wondering why the hell you still bother?

Music is good for the soul and helps to lift your spirits..either that or putting the world to rights with a good friend over a tub of Ben and Jerry's..what helps you?"

Laughter is the number one thing, if some makes me laughs and distracts me from what wrong even if it just briefly it cheers me up and appreciate even more just how lucky I am to have them in my life and they care enough to try and make things seem not so bad x

A wee trip in the car even if only to sit at the beach on a sunny day, watch people go by.

Have someone unexpectedly get in touch with me means i know someone is thinking about me. "

"I really enjoy driving along in my motorhome, looking at the lovely countryside and ignoring the idiots behind who want to rush everywhere .

No, in reality I pull over when it's safe to do so. But exploring a new area and some peace & quiet and a change of scenery always lifts my mood. "

Drivers like you will always get a toot toot, a smile, and a wave from me when I'm passing. A little courtesy goes a long way on the road
