Fire!! First and foremost. Eternal scourge and ouchyness.

Microwaved beans. How do they get so thermal nuclear?!

A fresh hot water bottle, no cover, no socks.

That first chip out of a fresh bag of chips straight out of the chippy and eaten on the way home. You know it's going to scald but you eat it anyway......then it gets stuck......

Making the mistake of putting tomatoes in a toastie, earns you a third degree burn.

Cheese in a cheese toastie fresh out the press. Like molten iron.

East of Eden, West of Hell

Seconded on the beans. Had an all day breakfast for lunch today. Well, I had the kids' ADB. The beans came in a tiny tin cup. If they'd been given to a kid, they would have caused 2nd degree burns. Even after I ate the poached egg, the sausage and the slice of bacon, the beans were steaming.

Also, if you microwave a day old jam doughnut for any more than 15 seconds, the jam will be hot enough to blister skin within seconds. Makes it taste amazing (once it's called down) though
