What sort of answer are you looking for? Maybe we can come to an answer which works for both of us?

I actually did advanced negotiation skills

There’s a degree of acting in haggling, showing displeasure. Showing the cash early is useful if you want the person to know you really do intend to buy, even putting into their hand and taking the item. They will stop you if they don’t agree.

You can almost always go lower but why ? Returns vs effort diminish at the bottom. A win/win is usually better than a win/lose.

It’s often much better to shop around than haggle. Ladies jeans in CK £140. Haggled to £110. Same jeans on Asos for £90. CK online on offer for £70 plus 10% new customer discount so £63

I'm amazing at it! I once went into a store to buy a pair of shoes and asked the assistant how much a certain pair were.

He said "£60"

So I said "£40"

And he said "£60"

And I said "50"

And he said "60"

So I paid £60...

They could be overcharging me, I’d tell them it was a bargain and thank them for it.

No. Two reasons.

1. My maths is rubbish so things like % off throw me into a mind boggle.

2. I don’t want to take the piss and mistakenly offer 50p for something that is worth £500.

The key to haggling is to make the person that you are having a deal with feel like they are getting the best deal possible, a good way to do this is be very confident, Consider how the deal looks from the other side, Launch a charm offensive, and most of all let them do the talking, 9 times out of ten they really want rid of the item, let them talk them selfs down

Heck no. I hate it. Haggling makes me feel cheap and dirty and not in a good way.

And if people haggle with me, the price goes up 10% to cover the time spent haggling.

Not bad. I like to walk away, if I can't negotiate the right price for me

The most important thing with sales people is to say before you ask for a price, "Give me the best price right out of the gate. I don't have time to haggle, and neither do you. It cheapens both of us. You get one chance only. Give it your best shot."

This usually concentrates their offer.

And if the offer is not what you are looking for, be firm, resolute and walk away. Never ever give them a second chance.
