Being let down for meets

It’s such a waste of energy isn’t it?

You spend ages fielding messages, filtering out unsuitable people, finally build a rapport with someone, plan to meet, psychology and physically prepare for that meet, only for them to cancel last minute.

Even worse when you turn up and they’re a no-show without explanation.

Queue all the guys letting you know they'd never let you down.

Unfortunately it happens on here a lot OP, hope it wasn't too much time wasted.

I’m quite the introvert with a background of anxiety/depression, so it takes a lot of energy to psych myself up to meet someone!

I live in an area where there are few fab users so thankfully haven’t got the “I’d never let you down” messages!

That’s a good idea to report no-shows, because it’s likely they do it with other people. Will keep that in mind for when it inevitably happens again!

If it happens often, I think that's an indication to reevaluate how you go about things on here

Most people are all talk and no action. You can't avoid it but just learn from it and make sure you give no second chances to these people.

Recently found women can also waste time.

Spend the odd night away in Birmingham with work and I’ve been let down twice!

Luckily it's never happened - phew!

We tend to arrange first meets in clubs or near clubs so if it did ever happen we can still have a good night regardless

Yes although I did feel on the most part it was genuine reasons...but more than once, or no suggestion of rescheduling and I assume its a lack of interest.

That’s totally different from what OP describes in her post. It’s safe to assume you’ve been chatting to fantasists.

Sadly, it happens and it's so frustrating.

Me and my partner both have solo accounts (and a joint) and I was so jealous of the volume of messages she gets. She's had the same though, people not turning up etc etc.

It's hard work isn't it.
