I've rehearsed and performed a couple of his works on the basis that there's other stuff I only got after going through that process with it. Nope, still didn't work. You can keep it. I’m with you on jazz, but accept loads hate it. Bad jazz is really bad, but there’s lots of utterly amazing stuff. Not mad, not a cacophony just beautiful, and/or funky as f**k. I think the problem with all genres is that it’s the bad stuff that people usually get to hear. They then associate the genre with that. Nost of the well-known hip-hop sounds terrible I think, but there’s amazing acts like The Roots who people barely know - amazing lyricists, producers etc.

The way that many singers start a line sing8ng the first note flat and slide up to the right note.... it really annoys me. Cal

"Jazz" I think it's hard to dislike jazz completely, it's such a huge genre. Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simmone, Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Micheal Búbblè, etc... are all Jazz Singers. I'm not a fan of a lot of the more "free form" Jazz, but there's a huge amount of great music too. Cal
