Probably not. One of the key differences I've noticed between men and women is that when a woman says "smell this" it's usually a pleasant smell.

I've no desire to be long distance face farted!

I'd not considered anything unpleasant being communicated

. I must be naive

Scents relate to our most primeval brains, so we typically form very strong connections to memories that can be reconnected with, if we smell the scents again.
