Nor I.

I don't think I've ever eaten halloumi in any form. Is it that stuff that squeaks when you bite it? Or is that just rats?

I don't know either - I've potentially had it in mainland Europe. But I see McDs are doing it and was unsure about whether to trust them. "

I should add that they're not doing rats yet, I hope

Push the boat out, give them a go! They must be popular if McDonald's are selling them.

I think you have to ask them to prepare them fresh.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Halloumi - I find it a bit odd.

The first mouthful I thought was nice with an intriguing texture.

The second I was a bit undecided and the third, I didn’t like and thought it was rubbery.

Very strange stuff

Not at McDonald’s but I’ve had them elsewhere. They’re nice but find it a little off-putting because it’s so unhealthy. Even more so than regular fries

I'll fail on that one

I recall it from a Cyprus hotel restaurant and managed . But this is McDonald's and the UK. I've got a road trip later will pick up some coffee and my snack

I absolutely love them! Never had them from McDonald's though... Amazing with a sweet chilli dip.

I'm a bit strange, so it may suit me. Thankfully, it's on offer today, so I'll not be wasting as much cash, if its rubbery-ness etc doesn't live up to the dream.

KFC, but that's possibly an urban legend

There's been several prosecutions, years ago a local take away was done for using cat meat in its dishes..

McDonald's lost when they started trying to serve healthy food.

Yes, I accidentally ordered them the other day thinking they were the usual mozzarella ones and not halloumi. Edible but very greasy.

I was pleasantly surprised that they weren't just fit for the bin or to wave in the air, hoping a seagull could spot them. I've wasted £1.49 too often in my life but this wasn't one of them . And I was shocked that they weren't far greasier.

Didn't like them, McDonald's menu is so boring at the moment, bring back the fajita wrap!

McDonald's pricing is getting ridiculous too, used to be a cheap eat, overpriced for what you get now, burger king is better but even more expensive!

Halloumi fries - yes! McDonald's - noooo!

Delicious and widely available in many other places. Much better cooked at home.

I 100% agree. They are incredibly expensive

A breakfast muffin and coffee is being reduced in price from Friday though

Camberley occasionally doncaster

The best ways to have halloumi are either BBQd or pan fried with chorizo so they absorb all that flavour.

I will hear no argument on this.
