Is it unusual???

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

Just been out to the Offie for a choccy fix and coming back home could hear a gaggle of geese going over (couldn't see them, but they can make a racket!). I've never heard geese flying at night before and wondered if it was usual - a girl walking same way as me remarked on it just as I was looking up to the night sky to see if I could see them

We have Canada Geese which fly over our house most mornings then at night when it's dark or almost dark they fly back in the opposite direction, but yes they very often fly in the dark

on a serious note, they nest near my house and yes i have seen and heard them fly by night
