I have only just found out that Chris Cross passed away this week - I’m gutted!

Many will be going … who????!

Chris Cross was the bass guitarist with Ultravox and actually Co-wrote their signature song Vienna. I am a massive Ultravox fan, and gutted there will never another Ultravox proper line up gig …. Not that there were many!!

RIP Chris.

"I thought you were on about those child rappers who wore their clothes backwards."

Was thinking the exact same and couldn't help read your profile but in the voice of Vic and Bob!

So its Goodnight Vienna

But not to be confused with the Ringo Starr album because it was a different Christopher Cross who played with him

Love that song "Vienna", which Chris Cross co-wrote (still listen to it now).

Epic genre defining song..! Kept off number 1 spot by Joe Dolce and ‘Shadappa your face’…

One half of "That" Chris Cross died about ten years ago in his early 30's

This means nothing to me.

There was also a Christopher Cross who sung Arthur, the theme tune to the Dudley Moore film.

In the immortal words of Gary Davies… Sometimes …. We just didn’t get it right! A complete travesty - a classic 80s anthem denied the No1 slot!

I’m afraid I’m a Midge devotee, so Nick prefer the Ultravox music post John Foxx, but do like some of John Foxxs solo stuff.

First three albums never bettered ,they got close with Vienna album ,saw that tour, pre the album ,but after ,they were a shadow of the fox era ,and foxes solo work a shadow of that era

Systems of romañce influenced the blitz scene ,human ,that was the era defining record not Vienna
