Trying to work out where frogs have mated yet. It's not a sexual thing, sorry. Just that mine and my uncle's pond hasn't had any yet

I was hoping it was about school dinner puddings

Thanks! That's what I'd expected, though you're south of me but I'd expect them to have mated by now

I have not inspected how hairy their legs are yet, sounds like a Sunday job.

No. I'd not seen that yet. I'll go have a look. My friend has no spawning frogs but great crested newts here taken over her pool

I did see the toad patrol out on duty a couple of weeks ago so I guess the season is nearly done but I have limited spawning credentials.

They've been out here but I'm unsure how much the toad and frog mating schedule overlaps

Thanks for letting me know . I'd be a few weeks behind you, as I'm north of you.

Anyone in the midlands or north got any spawn or tadpoles?

King's Crustacean

Never mind frogs ! I live in FEAR of the seagulls coming back. They are here every year and are growing in number I got fed up of being attacked last year. They nest two doors away from me and i've noticed there's none there this year BUT........ I'm so worried they might return that I looked up the mating season and they start NOW and will be nesting by MAY....... I'll let you know next month. This place has changed from a nice sleepy place to a CAR and GULL infested NOISE filled nightmare!!

P.S. Someone on one of my what's apps sent a pic of their frogspawn a couple of weeks ago and we are in the north.

I honestly thought this thread would be about hot tubs in clubs.

Frog spawn is a big clump, toad spawn is in ribbons (like a pearl necklace according to one artist I read)
