So let’s say you’ve been offered a few jobs you interviewed for….

How would you make your decision?

Pay?

Work/life balance?

Company direction?

East London

I'd go with pay if I needed the money.

a town called malice

All very well being paid more but if you are miserable as sin because the company is going downhill or you are working too many hours it doesn’t matter

All about balance, but very difficult to get that balance just right

Work life balance unless I needed the money.

I don't think the positive effect that balancing work and outside life has can be underestimated

I’m guessing pay is similar ish if it’s the same job different company ?

Money is only good if you really need it is it worth your well-being if you hate it and it makes you ill

Negotiation might be an idea if you find the right company but want a little bit more £

Newcastle upon Tyne

Pay and shift patterns would be the most important to me closely followed by the length of the commute.

Generally, I look for a job where I get to do what I want to be doing. So, alignment with personal goals, I guess?

I don't really have a work-life balance, it's more of a work-life blend

All over

I have been in that situation with four offers on same day a while back. Picked the one with best prospect, least upheaval and also best organisatonal culture. Pay wise was somewhere in the middle

.

Work/life blend.

Recent events have made me more determined to actually lean more heavily in to the life side of things after spending seventeen years studying, working... and occasionally making time for myself.

Money if it matters? Of course. But right now I'm definitely choosing a better work/life blend (a poster above said that and I rather like it!).
