Facing into yet another day of wind and rain, I’m daydreaming about holiday destinations I have been to in the past.

What are your favourite holiday destinations? And why?

Horsham

Isle of Man. The last week of May, first week of June, it is the TT races.

Lakes, just because the whole place is relaxing.

I’m quite partial to Cornwall. Mevagissey.

It’s very romantic in its wind, rain, beaches, narrow roads that give you heart palpitations if you see a car coming the other way.

I thrive on that kind of excitement!

Who needs sun and cocktails? Highly over-rated!

No it’s not if you live there..

Wind and rain is certainly not romantic day after day…

Emmetts aimlessly milling around thinking it’s some form of Disneyland. Blocking roads by not being able to drive properly on the narrow roads unable to hedge their cars.

Riu Oliva Beech, Corralejo. Decent hotel although only a 3*, primarily though it’s the beach and the nude section that keeps me going back.

I definitely don't miss the twats that think they can drive until they meet a tractor and then can't reverse or get within 2ft of the hedgerow. And they just park anywhere.

A nice wet and windy walk across the beach is lovely.

Great range of ideas and experiences.

New Zealand is a big favourite of mine, also loved langkawi so would enjoy Thai islands.

Used to live in the US, had some good holidays and road trips there but not as interested in going there now.

Still have tons of places I want to visit in Europe
