Caged Hens Ban in Scotland

Chicken Farmers in Scotland, the country famous for it's most successful export, haggis, are facing a ban on so called caged egg laying hens which pretty much have less room than one of Lenny Henry's Premier Inns. How much eggs will now cost is not certain but presumably not cheaper. What's going cheap here guys? It's all over the news

What crimes had they committed to get themselves caged up in the first place? What kind of hens are we just letting roam the country?

Cheeseville, Somerset

You could fit a lot of hens in your average Premier Inn room.

Just saying........

Does Lenny have a stake in premier inns?

Depends how many chickens fit in a room?

I’m all for animal welfare as it makes for better food.

I’d rather think the cow/chicken/sheep I’m eating wasn’t treated like shite before it went to the slaughter.

For a very brief second I thought this referred to Hen nights.

What's the problem there?

The chicken get a slightly better life, if you know how chicken raising works for either eggs or meat, you'll know it is literally only ever so slightly.

Surely any normal person would be in support of that?
