Why is it i can quite easily watch a horror/scary movie with someone, yet shit scared to watch them on my own? Am i alone in this? Or is there anyone else that is like me lol... Also, throwing it out there... what can you do quite easily by yourself, but not in front or with others?

Can't stand horror films, have to watch with my ears covered. I can only deal with spiders when I am with someone else. I know, I'm a wimp.

hmmm i tend to steer clear of "based" on true events whilst on my own lol... i just can't believe how wimpy i am when it comes to them yet i dont bat an eyelid when i'm watching them with someone. I don't mind gore ones as blood doesn't bother me.

I love a good horror movie, the whole idea of watching them is to freak yourself out!? Even scarier when watching on my own....

Yup. I can watch any film alone and in company. But no film recently has scared me. I know the formula to horrors so I know when the jump's coming.

That's a main gripe with Hollywood horror. It's all about making you jump. Not getting under your skin and creeping you out.

That's why I prefer foreign horror. It doesn't follow "the rules"

I find most horror/werewolf/vampire type films quite comical. The missus always tells me to shut up when I laugh at certain points in the film

I don't think I could talk to myself in front of someone

I remember watching Saw 3 at the cinema and laughing out loud. People turned around and looked at me like I was weird

Nr Chester

Loved the 70's & 80's horrors. Salems Lot, Amityville Horrors, The Burning, The Brood, Friday the 13th pt 1&2.

Fave all time for all around not horrific but spooky was Nicole Kidmans - The Others.

Hostel was great for the sexy women. The Saw films I enjoyed upto Saw 3. Then I went all wussy, just don't see the need for that much gore.

Don't know if they can be classed as horrors but if you like diverse films I'd recommend.

Tzameti (13)

Man bites dog

Irreversible.

The Town by The Cross

Good horror , mystery , suspense done with allusion I find interesting.

Gory things like the gratuitous carving up of people ( usually a screaming dense teenager ) I can't stomach.

The monster things are just plain stupid.

Most of the gothy type 'ring' things are overdone now.

In a crisp poke on the A814

There has only ever been one film that I couldn't watch again on my own, Magic...

Was on TV years ago, had seen it before, so recorded it so could watch when one night after kids went to bed...

I got about half an hour before turning it off because it was creeping me out...

Certainly not a horror movie, more psychological....

Or you can hide behind me
