your phone on silent 24/7?

I do. I mean, leave a message and I will eventually get back to you. Maybe

.

No.

I do, however, have different vibration settings if it's someone I contact/hear from on a semi frequently basis at least.

Is that weird?

I do, but my watch does buzz if I get a call.

I also leave my phone in the kitchen all night.

Always on silent because my notifications go to my watch so, it vibrates on my person.

Yes.

And any guys I have on telegram or WhatsApp I have on mute.

I do get messages to my watch though, but I turn that off when I'm at work.

Birmingham

Yep, always on silent.

It stems from thousands of working hours in offices with at least one dickhead who sets their mobile to maximum ring volume and then permanently leaves it on their desk.

Mo-bi-le…..it means it can move with you and you don’t need to hear it from 300ft away. Asshole.

I don't have my phone on me all the time anyway, but at night I put the do not disturb on, and it still operates the alarm clock.

Yes, it’s linked to my work phone system so it’s on silent 24/7. Once I get home, it stays on the side in the kitchen so I do not get constantly distracted, I just check it from time to time to see what non work related stuff might be there

Not intentionally, sometimes the little thing on the side gets knocked putting it in my pocket and then it’s on silent but otherwise it’s not.

If I am at a funeral or doctors surgery or similar then I just switch the phone off, nobody wants to be the muppet at a funeral with their phone going off, having said that I do often ring people whom I know are at a funeral just to try and catch them out

Everybody I know thinks I’m weird that my phone is on permanent silence. I do have different vibrations set up but it’s never made a sound since day one

I have a specific work meeting every week, so the phone is on silent for that. I also use the do not disturb for a variety of us reasons including sleeping schedule.

But apart from those times the phone calls will get through.

Yep, notifications on silent, but calls audible.

No one actually uses phones for calls anymore do they, so I never realise that irritating noise is a call on the rare occasion it actually rings!

Mines on the locker beside me too.

Someone who needs help being able to contact me is priority over unbroken sleep

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please)

Mine is on Do Not Disturb.

I used to react to every call and notification, and people were not respecting my time.

For emergencies they have my work and home landline number, everything else can wait until I've woken up in the morning or completed my work etc.

couple, us we him her.

Mrs does and it's bloody annoying all the family message me as they know she'll never see or hear the message, even after I had a suspected heart attack and rushed to hospital 20 calls later she finally called back.

The annoying thing is her phone is literally in her hand or pocket 18hrs a day
