EXACTLY 12 months ago today I was rushed into A&E. I had emergency life saving surgery which is why I’m still around to tell the story. The irony tickles me that it happened on this date. Huge thanks to all the wonderful NHS staff who work tirelessly to keep us alive and well.

I don’t mind sharing. I had a duodenal ulcer rupture spilling the contents of my stomach including a delicious special fried rice into my abdomen. Red sepsis markers, unbelievable pain and discomfort
